The ultimate tribute to the V8
Before moving to electric for good, Dodge celebrates the legendary V8 engine with a series of seven models called "Last Call" . The latest of these special editions is the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, designed to dominate Drag Races.
Unprecedented power
The 6.2 V8 in the Demon 170 offers impressive numbers: 1040 hp and 1281 Nm without any electrical support. This power outclasses the 852 hp of the previous Demon, which was achieved using E85 ethanol.
Record-breaking performance
Even with 95 (or higher) octane gasoline, the Demon 170 delivers 912 hp and 1100 Nm. At maximum power, it travels 400 meters from a standstill in 8.91 seconds, with an exit speed of 244 km/h.
The world's snappiest car
The Demon 170 boasts a 0-60 mph (0-96.5 km/h) acceleration time of 1.66 seconds, earning it the unofficial title of the world's fastest car, surpassing even the electric Aspark Owl.
A mechanical evolution
Dodge revised the entire mechanicals of the Demon 170, confirming only the camshaft. The volumetric compressor is increased from 2.7 to 3 litres and the fuel pressure is increased to 21.3 psi.
An outstanding transmission
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission with TransBrake 2.0, which is ideal for handling standing starts in a Drag Race.
Effective controls
The ethanol percentage is automatically displayed in the vehicle's instrument cluster and a petrol pump icon is displayed in the cluster when a significant percentage of ethanol is detected in the fuel.
There is the Drag Mode
Drag Mode, one of three driving modes available on the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, along with Custom and Auto (Street) options, allow drivers to modify or customise a comprehensive menu of vehicle performance parameters, including transmission, paddle shifters, traction control, suspension and steering.
Dragster set-up and tires
The Demon 170 has a different set-up than the classic Demon and is fitted with 315/50 R17 rear Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires and 245/55 R18 front tires designed to improve straight-line performance.
Options for every need
Dodge offers customization options such as aluminum alloy and carbon fiber wheels, lighter wheel arches, and the ability to remove various elements to reduce weight. For those who prefer luxury, leather and Alcantara seats are available.
