SV 9 Competizione, or an "Italian-style" C6 Corvette with 450 hp

It was the summer of 2009 when the SV 9 Competizione, a car based on the Chevrolet Corvette, was unveiled at Pebble Beach, California.

Back in the late 1990s, the San Francisco-based manufacturer SV Motor Company, envisioned a car that would take the "raw" performance of a Corvette and refine it with a touch of Italian style.

Their vision was to infuse many of the design elements found in the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (from which the SV 9 clearly drew inspiration, as well as its name) with a 2009 Chevy Corvette.

An idea that has been around for years
Back in the late 1990s, manufacturer SV Motor Company, based in San Francisco, envisioned a car that would take the "raw" performance of a Corvette and perfect it with a touch of Italian style. And that very special mix became reality.

More performances than the Chevy Corvette
The SV 9 Competizione adopted the Corvette LS3 V8 powertrain although boosted to 450 hp (+14). The 0-100 km/h acceleration time thus came to 4 seconds flat, also due to 60 kg thanks to a carbon fiber body.

The interior with carbon fiber inserts and Italian leather and wood completed the work.

A story ended badly
Only 1,000 of the SV 9 Competizione were produced with a price tag of 69,000,000 at the time. But due to financial problems at the SV Motor Company, of the 1,000 cars SV 9 Competizione that were to be built, only four were actually completed.
