SUPERCAR

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution, the most extreme with 1,842 hp born for the Nurburgring

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution is a supercar designed for the track, a more extreme version of the Venom F5. However, despite being designed to be very fast between the curves of a track, this new supercar can also circulate on the road.

The manufacturer has made it known that it will build only 24 specimens of the Venom F5 Revolution. The starting price is $2.7 million. According to Hennessey, a large part of the production has already been sold.

The starting point is that of Hennessey Venom F5 Coupé. The aerodynamics, however, have been revised in many aspects. Among the most obvious innovations is the new rear wing with variable incidence.

The engine
The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution is still powered by the incredible 1,842hp 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 that has dubbed Hennessey "Fury" and we are told that the Revolution has a "nearly identical DNA" to that of the "standard" Venom F5 Coupé on which it is based.

Even lighter
The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution uses the same seven-speed single-clutch semi-automatic transmission as the original Venom F5 , although in this case it is "calibrated for competitive use". The weight stops at 1,360 kg, making this variant of the Venom the lightest.

Revised aerodynamics
However, the aerodynamics of the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution have been revised in many aspects to improve downforce. Among the most obvious innovations is the new variable incidence rear wing that allows to obtain 363 kg of aerodynamic load at a speed of 300 km / h and 635 kg of load at 400 km / h. There's also a new, larger splitter made of carbon fiber and a new rear diffuser.

The fastest American ever?
The Texan tuner has already declared in recent months his intention to take to the track at the Nurburgring to set a time of around 7 minutes. It would not be an absolute record (the record is Mercedes AMG-One with 6:30.705), but if the Venom F5 confirmed its ambitions it would still be a record among all American cars. Currently, in fact, the fastest American is the Dodge Viper ACR, which in 2017 lapped in 7:01.300.
